TipTop Mantis "Hat" mounting bracket for Akai Rhythm Wolf and Tom Cat

Photo Jul 21, 11 45 10 PMThis one is a real space-saver.  Printing 3 of these Mantis Hats will allow you to attach your Akai Tom Cat or Rhythm Wolf to the top of your TipTop Audio Mantis eurorack case.  It holds it surprisingly sturdily and it looks pretty cool, too.  The three clips screw into eurorack panels with a 20mm M3 screw (as do all of my Mantis Hats), but the rest of this is a little different.Photo Jun 22, 10 45 35 PMEach one of these clips has a little nub that sticks out (I printed without supports and it looks a little sloppy, but it works perfectly for this) and snaps into one of the screw holes on the back of the drum machine.  The front lip of the clip goes around the front of the machine, locking in just under the important text on the front panel. TOMCATBACKYou'll want to snap all three pieces into the back of the machine first, then find a spot where the holes properly align with modules already plugged into your rack.  You may need to cheat them in one direction or another just a bit to make it fit your rack, depending on what other hats and modules you have hooked up - but going with a 20mm M3 screw and no washer gives you just a little bit of literal wiggle room.CloseUpTomCatYou can access the STL files for this here. Print three of them with no supports, and the misshapen nub will really lock into the back of the machine snugly. When all is said and done, you'll end up with a rad hat on top of your even-radder eurorack rig.As always, contact me directly or comment below if you'd like a custom set of these but don't have access to a 3D printer of your own.
